GREAT STAFF ATTENTIVE TO YOUR NEEDSVERY CLEAN GREAT LOCATION
-
Arriving to find that bookings.com did not have a room reserved for us.
-
Staff was very friendly and informal.
Very expensive breakfast, and getting into the hotel from the highway was very very very difficult.
-
It's well located for a hotel outside of NY. Bus stop not too far. The staff was nice and polite and the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast offers a good variety.
It took us 95 minutes to reach Port Authority in NYC the first afternoon at rush hour. When we came back at night the same ride took 15 minutes. If you plan to be somewhere in NYC early evening you have to know this.
-
Great housekeeping staff and chef
Front desk people the rudest. location is not easy to get to nor get to NYC
-
Great location with easy access to NYC and Secaucus. Gret for one night.
-
We were very surprised when we arrived. A tiny bit tough to find but so convient to NYC. Staff was awesome, rooms very nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable and loved the cookies in the afternoon!! Will stay there again!

Location, facilities
The woman at reception was a bit brash and rude.

Good hotel, good staff ...
Walking to/from bus station.

Clean.Convenient location. We were given clear instructions on what bus to take from Port Authority back to the hotel. Going to Manhattan, different buses would pick you up. The ride takes 10-15 minutes but could be a little longer with some buses that would make more stops.
Had noisy neighbours. Paper thin walls. So was a little to loud to sleep.

Proximity to nyc
Need bigger signs on the road to let us know where the hotel is, was hard to get to
-
the layout in the room was very good and gave a comfortable feeling; all the amenities were excellent.
The dinner menu was quite overpriced and the taste was very poor; requires a more experienced chef.

We showed at the Inn before midday to drop our luggage before returning our rented car, after two weeks around New England. We were checked in at once, no extra charge.
The discomfort of public transport to Manhattan. The Inn officially states on Booked.net that the nearest bus stop is located 'steps' from the hotel. This is an egregious understatement. In fact you need around 500 steps to reach the nearest bus stop and around 700 steps to get back, not to mention the fuss of getting on a New Jersey Transit bus in the evening at the PABT on 42nd and 8th. Try it if you like, it’s an experience. Also, NJT requires an additional ticket. This way, suppose you already own a $30,00 7-day unlimited pass for Manhattan and Brooklin, you still have to pay $6,40 per day only to leave your hotel in the morning and reach it back in the evening. How did we happen to chance on this lodge is an interesting question. This place I suppose it’s ok for New Jersey businessmen. On Booked.net, though, it is advertised like a haven for all sort of NYC visitors, which is plainly untrue. On Booked.net there’s no thorough third-party control on what managers say (or don’t say) about their properties. Also: 1. Sofa mattress in King Suite is of no comfort, metal springs feel through; 2. Hotel pre-charged my card for a) more than what I had booked for; b) so-called 'incidentals' (around $100,00); and c) something nobody knew very much what or why (some $125,00); 3. It was only when asking about 2b and 2c that I discovered 2a. Until then I supposed hotels on Booked.net had a way of immediately check the exact amount their patrons had booked for, but this appears not to be the case at this place, where we had to wait at the reception desk a few many minutes while the receptionist did and undid the addition over again until she was satisfied that what I was telling her was in fact true to the cent.
